Sanctity of Human Life
- No official position for or against abortion. However, the party leader identifies as pro-life and once spoke at New Brunswick’s March For Life.
- While in Opposition, the PCs fought valiantly to save the modicum of legal protection for unborn children that still existed in New Brunswick, which the Liberals were repealing. This was the rule that required two doctors to sign off that the abortion is medically necessary. Since forming government, however, the PCs have not re-instituted the 2-doctor rule.

- Past party spokesperson stated that Alliance “respects the Supreme Court ruling” on abortion. Transgender Ideology
- Admirably, the PCs opposed extreme gender ideology in schools by banning teachers from facilitating the “gender transition” of children without the express consent of the child’s parents. Parents will now be notified and permission requested before their children under the age of 16 can use opposite-sex names and opposite-sex pronouns.
- Presumably, this policy would also require schools to obtain parental consent before referring children to a transgenderism-affirming psychologist who might start the underage child on puberty blockers.
- Supports transgenderism and LGBT ideology.
- Wants schools to keep it a secret from parents if their gender-confused child impersonates the opposite sex while at school.
- On June 1, the Liberal Party marched with a banner in the LGBT “Pride” parade. Leader Susan Holt was at the front.

Drugs
- Official policy declaration pledges a “drug prevention and enforcement” strategy along with “expanded treatment facilities for detox and rehabilitation” to fight the hard-drug crisis. This contrasts sharply with the government-run, drug injection site strategy embraced by leftist parties, which often involves supplying free drugs to addicts.
- Announced in Septemeber 2024 that the PC government will NOT be approving any more drug injection sites, and will assess whether the existing drug dens should be shut down. The reason cited for this welcome announcement was that "these injection sites pose a risk to safety in our communities where our families live and play".
- Promotes a so-called “harm reduction strategy” to deal with the explosion of hard drug use. "Harm reduction" typically means setting up government-run drug dens where anybody can go and shoot heroin, snort cocaine, smoke crack, take fentanyl, etc. This "strategy" also includes giving free drugs to addicts - an absolutely disastrous idea that only worsens the problem of drug addiction.
